About

Curious by nature and rarely in one place for long.

I travel whenever I can, enjoy throwing people into the air for sports and love meeting people whose lives look completely different from mine. I am ambitious, endlessly curious and usually working toward a dream that feels slightly too big.

I love mentoring and teaching, especially when I can make something complicated feel clear and approachable. Online, I share the honest side of medical school, PhD life and everything around it.

Felix sitting on a stone parapet above a sunlit city, arms resting on a metal rail, hills behind him.
A glass microinjection needle angled down into a dish of frog eggs on a microscope stage, no people in frame.

The day job

I am an MD/PhD student at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin and a research affiliate at Mayo Clinic, working at the intersection of translational nephrology and rare genetic disease.

My doctoral research examines how the sulfate transporter SLC26A1 affects bone and musculoskeletal health.

The rest of it

The clinic teaches you to decide quickly. The lab teaches you to wait. Doing both means neither gets a full week.

I post the messy parts. The mistakes, the poster sessions, the experiments that lead nowhere.
